The Scottish Parliament is now dissolved ahead of the election on Thursday 7 May 2026.

During dissolution, there are no MSPs and no parliamentary business can take place.

Portfolio Questions rota

Portfolio Questions are answered in the Chamber, usually on a Wednesday and Thursday.  Questions from MSPs must relate to the ministerial portfolio of the Portfolio Question session. Questions are answered by the Minister or Cabinet Secretary with responsibility for that portfolio.
