My colleagues at Westminster are considering how the anniversary can be celebrated and we will remain in close contact with them to see whether there is any added value that we can give to those celebrations.

As the Scottish Parliament celebrates its first 20 years, and looks to the next, there are important issues for MSPs to debate and decide from procedures at the Parliament itself to wider constitutional issues.
To sum up, we are enjoying a busy and expensive year of celebration. We are celebrating not a building but the life of a community and we are recognising a significant milestone in that community's history.
Christmas day obviously means something to people such as me, for whom it is the birthday of Christ—or, at least, the day that we celebrate as the birthday of Christ.
Those events will spearhead the national and international celebration of St Andrew's day.It is imperative that we allow our young people to become involved in the celebration of our national day.
