The petitioners call on the Scottish Parliament to take the necessary steps to allow local communities to become more involved in the planning process.The previous Public Petitions Committee considered a response from the Scottish Executive at its meeting on 6 June 2002 and agreed to defer consideration of the petition until the Executive had published its response to the consultation, "Getting Involved in Planning".
