We had pencilled in a meeting for Wednesday morning, but it now looks as though we will not have any business to transact at such a meeting. When will we get to stage 2 of the Prostitution (Public Places) (Scotland) Bill?
We have written to GHA and the Scottish Executive, but GHA does not seem to be moving on the petition. I am worried that we are just getting platitudes. Could we write to the Minister for Communities for his thoughts on the petition?
It would be reasonable to hear the council's side of the argument, too. Okay. We will get back to the petitioner with those responses in due course and give him the opportunity to comment on them.
Does the minister acknowledge that the review of the Executive's diet action plan shows that, overwhelmingly, targets are not being achieved? For example, Scots are getting only half the fruit and vegetables that they need for good health.
Therefore, I suggest that, at this stage, we simply note the Executive's response. Obviously, if we do not get a debate, we can return to the subject in the committee.
We have made a bid for time to debate the early years report and it is unlikely that we will get a second slot. Perhaps we can touch on the matter in our annual update meeting with the ministers, in which we can ask them to comment on progress.
I encourage members to consider the recommendations in detail over the recess, during which I am sure everyone will be working very hard. Is that an attempt to get us to read the report? I see. More summer reading.
VIA is part of the Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service, so I suppose we will get responses from the Procurator Fiscal Service or the Crown Office, depending on who is best placed to respond to us.
