I assure Mr Swinney that the worst thing that could happen to the Scottish economy at the moment would be for it to be ripped away from its major export and import base in the south of this country and to be left stranded in a low-tax economy, in which foreign investment was encouraged to the detriment of the improvement of Scottish firms. I think that we are getting near the dividing point in Scottish politics.
