Implementation of these standards will enable the consistent delivery of safe, accessible, high-quality drug treatment across Scotland. I made the Chief Pharmaceutical Officer for Scotland aware of the specific issues raised by the Committee and she has raised the issue directly with the relevant Health Board’s Director of Pharmacy and with Community Pharmacy Scotland, who represent pharmacy owners, and is also considering if there are any specific actions that can be taken forward to address the issues shared by committee members.
