Tied Pubs (Scotland) Bill: Stage 1 - Annex A: Letter to the Member in Charge

The disclosure rule in the Code of Conduct (at Section 9, paragraph 1) states:
“Members must not disclose, communicate or discuss any complaint or intention to make a complaint to or with members of the press or other media prior to the lodging of the complaint or during Stages 1 and 2 of the procedure for dealing with complaints (this procedure is set out in the guidance on the Code of Conduct (the Code)).”

Code of Conduct for MSPs and Written Statement Revisions - Conclusion and Recommendation
The Committee believes that the new, streamlined documents represent an improvement on the previous multi-volume Code.
The Committee recommends that the Parliament agrees the changes to the Code of Conduct and the written statement determination.
