To ask the Scottish Executive what the outcome was of the conference held on 8 July 2005 on best practice for pain management. I wrote to the Convener of the Health Committee on 30 August 2005 to send her a report of the conference and advise her of the Executive’s response.

No such advice has been given.The pattern of school provision and catchment areas is best determined at locallevel. Many children travel considerable distances to and from school in many partsof Scotland.
To ask the Scottish Executive how much rural land is currently held by each local authority under the Common Good Fund and whether such land is being managed in the best way to ensure sustainable development or the well-being of the communities on whose behalf the land is held.
