Report on the Draft Climate Change Plan- the draft Third Report on Policies and Proposals 2017-2032 - Subsidy regimes
It advocated that the post-CAP system should be supporting farmers and others working in the rural economy to ensure that they do not hit a break-off point when switching from agriculture to forestry activity.
The Committee calls on the Scottish Government to consider the funding options available to support those farmers wishing to participate in forestry activity in the context of higher payments for agriculture activity on their land and any competing subsidy requirements.
