We are however, currently working on a non-statutory voluntary Code of Practice in relation to the dismissal and replacement of land-owning land maintenance companies.
We note that further consultation with stakeholders on the content and function of the code would be required. We refer to the evidence on the uncertainty regarding the financial impact of the code on public bodies.
Recommendation
The Committee recommends to the Parliament that each reference to £300 in Section 2 of the Code of Conduct be replaced with £320 as set out in Annexe A.

We have quite a lot of experience of these types of codes in other sectors. We have, for example, the deer code, which does exactly the same thing, the outdoor access code and the muirburn code.
