They do not like what I am saying, Presiding Officer, and they do not want it to be heard by the people of Scotland. We are doing the best that we can do in that context.
To be clear, I think that a commissioner is the best way to do that work. It might not be the only way, but we think that it is the best way, for various reasons.
Do we or do we not trust our money advisers to follow the rules and do what is needed to support clients in accessing the best solutions? The 10-year rule almost says to money advisers, “We do not trust you to put people into the best solution for them.”
The Scottish Government wants to work hand in glove with everyone who has a stake in this, including communities, fishers and our marine industries, to create the best possible future for our environment, our economy and those communities.
