Supported by: Kenneth Gibson*, David Torrance*, Joan McAlpine*, Richard Lyle* *S5M-12255 Annie Wells: Govanhill Glasgow Bike Shed That the Parliament welcomes the — news that that the Govanhill Glasgow Bike Shed has received a £148,362 Big Lottery Fund Scotland grant, which it will use to deliver a programme of activities that will support it in its aim to improve the community’s wellbeing and skills through cycling; understands that these activities will include bike maintenance, a bike lending library, learn to cycle sessions, an afterschool group, a timetable of group cycling and a series of one-off events; acknowledges that the group s cycling group and offer free also plans to extend its volunteering programme, develop a women’ memberships to the city-wide bike share scheme for people who face barriers to taking up the activity, and wishes it success with its plans.
