To ask the Scottish Government what consideration it has given to updating its Business Pledge commitments on green ports to discourage the growth of (a) zero-hour contracts, (b) get-out clauses and (c) other similar practices.
Every member will have constituents who are struggling to get an appointment—who are queuing on a Monday morning or who cannot get through on the telephone to get an appointment.
One hopes that, over the years, that will begin to create a more virtuous cycle.The programme helps us to create safer communities by providing young people with opportunities to get off the streets and into positive activities.
Some that participate in telephone activities do so legitimately, but there must be an onus on the companies concerned to ensure that their activities do not interfere with people’s personal freedoms.
The strategy sets out how we can get better at identifying and supporting victims, at identifying perpetrators and disrupting their activity, at addressing the broader conditions that foster trafficking, and at raising awareness across the board.
