Article 4(1) of the Order refers to section 117 of “the 1998 Act”, when it should instead have specified “the Scotland Act 1998”. Scottish Ministers, special advisers and the Permanent Secretary are covered by the terms of the Lobbying (Scotland) Act 2016.
What does not change with regard to the statistic is the amount of renewable energy potential that Scotland has, which is still significant and will be part of Scotland’s future energy provision both now and as an independent country.
For example, at the peak of the last wave of Covid-19 in the summer, 600 beds in Scotland were taken up with Covid patients, which is equivalent to the capacity of Wishaw general hospital.
I will be joined by Maggie Page, Drug Strategy Unit Head, and Scott Heald, Director Data and Digital Innovation at Public Health Scotland, to provide evidence on the recent Audit Scotland report on Alcohol and Drug services.
I would like to thank all the reappointees for their work to date and I look forward to working with them in the coming years to deliver Scotland’s ambitious land reform agenda.
In addition, work on the stockpiling of medical devices and clinical consumables in Scotland is on-going and will have financial implications for us, which could necessitate bringing forward funding from next year.
