The draft instrument was laid before the Parliament on 18 December 2019 and referred to the Committee.
The most recent assessment was undertaken in 2020. Among its headline findings was the following: “Pressures associated with bottom-contacting and pelagic fishing continue to be the most geographically widespread, direct pressures across the majority of Scottish Marine Regions and Offshore Marine Regions.”
