Jamie Greene moved amendment S5M-08497.2— As an amendment to motion S5M-08497 in the name of Humza Yousaf (The Promotion of Active Travel in Scotland), after “cycling;” insert “notes the lack of progress made in encouraging active travel, namely in cycling, where it is likely that the 10% of all journeys being made by bike in 2020 target is to be missed; acknowledges that budget cuts to active travel in previous annual budgets has had a negative impact on progress; notes its concern over reports on the lack of cohesion and contact between Transport Scotland and local authorities relating to the implementation of active travel plans; underlines that insufficient active transport infrastructure impedes the potential success of this plan;” After debate, the amendment was disagreed to ((DT) by division: For 55, Against 58, Abstentions 0).
