It involves bringing the public, private and voluntary sectors together with citizens to design services that meet users’ needs and deliver better outcomes, making best use of technology and innovation.
We aim to make that information available to the committee and, perhaps more importantly, to the bodies themselves, to show them what good use looks like and what might be the best approach in particular circumstances.
We have always tried to work within the funding that we have and to do our best. However, if we are uncertain about what is coming, we cannot plan for the best use of resources.
It will also involve developing the capacity of staff and Members across all committees, engaging with subject experts in the development of briefing materials, drawing on international best practice and the development of scrutiny tools.
