The minister announced that all nursing care will be provided free of charge and that Scotland's chief nursing officer will report to her by the end of the year on arrangements for assessment and effective care delivery based on need.I have been taken aback to hear of some of the services that are delivered by home helps, for example, which presumably are not officially classed as nursing care. Will the minister give an assurance that the definition of nursing care will be wide and will include all the elements of care that most people would class as nursing care?
