To ask the Scottish Executive what steps it will take to protect archaeological monuments and historic sites within Kilmartin Valley. Historic Scotland will continue to exercise its legal powers to protect the 50 monuments in the Kilmartin area scheduled as of national importance and to look after the 14 which are in the direct care of Scottish Ministers.
The Executive will consult shortly on a proposed addendum to this guidance dealing with the introduction of an assessment framework for dust emissions from opencast sites. S1W-07380

Detailed consideration is presently being given to a number of sites, including the Crichton Campus, to ensure a location that best meets the business requirements of the Scottish University for Industry is identified.

However, although I am delighted that the new information commission for Scotland is to be sited in St Andrews, where I happen to live, I am not at all sure that any of those criteria work in terms of siting that commission there.
