When some councillors raised environmental and climatic change concerns, council officials advised them that those were not material considerations when a decision was being made and that even under the Planning etc (Scotland) Act 2006, which was passed recently by the Parliament, they still would not be considered as such.This is a case of legislation not reflecting the concerns that have been expressed on all sides of the chamber regarding the environment.
