However, it is a pleasure for us to be here and I thank the officials of Scottish Borders Council for their assistance in enabling us to hold this meeting in the Langlee complex.All members of the committee have already undertaken a site visit along the entire route of the proposed railway and I think that I speak on behalf of all of us when I say how helpful we found that visit to our understanding of the issues surrounding the project and of the locations of the proposed route and stations, as well as some of the properties that are close to the line.Today, the committee will concentrate on two aspects of the bill.
