My constituency has one branch of the Airdrie Savings Bank, which I consider to be the traditional type of bank with a personal service that we certainly want to encourage.A number of local credit unions are based in my constituency, but one national one that is based there is the Scottish Police Credit Union in Barrachnie, which I am delighted to have and which I visited last month. That credit union has recently launched a new product called flexiloan or revolving credit, which is a good example of a credit union coming up with a new product to challenge some of the less scrupulous lenders.
