To ask the Scottish Executive what consideration it has given to following the example of the Welsh Assembly Government in abolishing hospital car parking charges for staff and visitors. Currently, car parking is free at most NHSScotland hospitals and charges have only been introduced as a method of last resort as part of a planned approach to ensuring that adequate access is available to those health care sites which are congested and where the demand for parking far exceeds the supply of car spaces available.
