Pre-Budget Scrutiny 2024-25: The Sustainability of Scotland's Finances - Fiscal sustainability: context
The position is slightly improved since its December 2022 Forecasts, with economic growth at 0.3% in 2023-24, rising to 1.3% in 2025-26.
The SFC also forecasts that:
Total resource funding will grow by 8% from 2023-24 to £52.6 billion in 2028-29 in real terms.

Session 6 priorities
To support this remobilisation, the completion of the new National Treatment Centres by 2025/26 is a key priority. Work is underway to recruit at least 1,500 additional frontline staff required for these Centres.
