On out-patient waiting time performance, there was an improvement of five percentage points in the previous quarter, and the total number of new out-patients with waits of more than 12 weeks was reduced by almost 16 per cent.
I have questions on a couple of areas, and the first is Ferguson Marine. Recently, the committee visited Ferguson’s and saw that the yard faces a lot of challenges in its prospects for new orders and so on.
We do not know, because it will be changed according to political circumstances. There will be a new European Commission later this year, potentially, and a new European Parliament.
Budgets have been pushed to breaking point. From the latest returns reported to the Scottish funding council, we know that more than three quarters of Scotland’s colleges are expected to be in the red by the end of the year.
However, I think that we have done great work so far and the new working groups are developing new guidelines and policies that, we hope, will shape the way we do resettlement.
