Supported by: Bill Kidd* *S5M-18493 Sandra White: 19 Million Visitors to Glasgow's Cultural Services in 2018 That — the Parliament congratulates Glasgow on its near 19 million visits that were made to public museums and venues run by Glasgow Life in 2018; understands that visits included the European Championships, Celtic Connections and displays in museums, including Kelvingrove's showcasing of Leonardo Da Vinci sketches, Dippy the Dinosaur and Linda McCartney's photo collection; notes that the Kelvingrove and the Riverside museums attracted 1.3 million visitors; further notes that Glasgow's libraries recorded 4.7 million recorded visits to the city's 33 libraries, and publicly-run music venues recorded over 475,000 attendances; believes that these figures represent the dynamism of the growing arts and tourism environment in the city, and wishes all staff involved in delivering cultural services another successful year.

Letter from Cabinet Secretary for Climate Action and Energy on Grangemouth industrial cluster 11 Dec

Although it has taken time for the Grangemouth Investment Taskforce to rigorously assess that these propositions are both appropriate and ready for support from the Grangemouth Just Transition Fund, I expect the Committee will agree that the commitment of up to £8,232,078 of support from the Scottish Government is a strong signal of the promising future of the site. I hope that this initial step is a welcome sign to the workforce and the local community that Grangemouth has a bright and prosperous future.
