All Care Homes now have the equipment for Lateral Flow Testing and a rolling programme of training is underway to provide testing for care home visitors with Lateral Flow Testing to support professional visitors to care homes from the beginning of January.

The current upper age limit for accessing this support is 26; this should be a lifelong entitlement, as parents support their children beyond this age. • Local authority budget cuts and social work staffing shortages are impacting on support received. • Contact with social workers had reduced in recent years.
You will find better ways to do things, so some off-site work can take place that you can try to ship in, but often the skilled craftspeople will be needed to do the work on site, because the sizes of things will have to be adjusted.
I want to ask about consultation. Concerns have been expressed that there is no statutory consultation requirement in the bill, but you have suggested that it comes under your general obligations as a Government.
Our members have put a lot of work into that. In our submission, we expressed our significant concerns about the implications of the proposals in the bill.
