HIE also owns the resort’s funicular railway (Scotland’s only funicular railway), which transports visitors to the mountain’s northern ski slopes and the UK’s highest restaurant and viewing terrace.
It is fairly common to have that ability to refine legislation and the Government is committed to making the visitor levy work. I, and my colleagues in other local authorities, appreciate that, and it is another reason why we have the bill in front of us today.
