The Scottish Government is currently reviewing its policy position on Ramsar sites and a revised policy statement will be published before the end of 2024.
The last time I looked at the issue in any great depth, I saw that there was huge disparity among NHS boards in respect of hospitals’ ability to prepare food on site, given where we seem to be going in developing facilities that have their food prepared off site and brought in.
It is a member’s bill, not a Government bill, and the Government takes a neutral stance on it, so I can express only a personal opinion to Pam Duncan-Glancy.
