To do this we need a strong economy, underpinned by a vibrant labour market. We will today (26 August 2016) publish Scotland’s Labour Market Strategy, to sit alongside our Economic Strategy.
A key way of doing that will be to have thorough engagement and not to take any decisions pre-emptively on what the future of the site should be. I do not endorse the position that Adam Tomkins has taken, but the anger that he expressed is visceral, and it reflects the anger of many of his constituents.
