The UK Government is very open to hearing ideas on the UK-EU reset, so it is up to business groups such as ourselves to ensure that we are getting the latest data from our members and to formulate and communicate the proposals to committees such as this one and to the UK Government.
My colleagues have discussed the impact of uncertainty on Scottish businesses. As we have heard, the latest available data shows that the value of Scotland’s exports to the rest of the UK is £42 billion.
These can include Social Security Scotland, MSP Surgeries, Advocacy Support, Education Information. Please check the news section of our website for upcoming dates.
They also think about whether the problem could be fixed in another way (that is, without a new law being made). They will also speak to a wide range of people to ask them what they think.
The intention is to get more crofts released, which will help with demand from new entrants. Comment: Uncashed cheques – a solution would be to not charge for registration.
