To ask the Scottish Government how many NHS consultants in each of the last five years were classed as (a) generalist and (b) specialist, also expressed as a percentage of the total number of consultants in each year.
Constituents have contacted me to report that the carer support payment will make a great difference to them, only for the DWP to remove the same amount from universal credit, because it is classed as income.
We recognise that our workforce base is higher than you would expect, but we are clear that that is driven by the number of hospital sites, in particular—I think that I referred to the fact that we have 26 hospital sites at that meeting.
