To ask the Scottish Executive what initiatives it has planned for the years 2001 to 2004 to increase visitor spending in Scotland. Our proposals are set out in the new strategy for Scottish tourism which was published today.
Every electoral region in Scotland received a visit from members of the committee. In every visit that we made we heard the problems of groups, which differed quite dramatically from region to region.
I congratulate Margaret Smith on securing this important debate to mark world asthma day.Yesterday, to mark world asthma day, I visited a new project that is being established at Ninewells hospital.

To ask the Scottish Executive whether it is aware that Argyll and Bute Council will not be installing a sprinkler system in the new Hermitage Academy. The Executive does not collect information on the specificationof individual school buildings.
