That the Parliament applauds Cummings Park Nursery, in Aberdeen Donside, on its successful clothes swap initiative; notes that Cummings Park Nursery, run by Flexible Childcare Scotland, launched a clothing swap, where parents can trade or donate Halloween costumes to alleviate the financial strain on families and ensure that all children can take part in the seasonal festivities; understands that continued austerity will exacerbate the cost of living crisis and many will struggle to stay warm this winter, and that, therefore, to meet the needs of the local community, Cummings Park Nursery will also swap children’s winter jackets; acknowledges that the success of the initiative can be attributed to the generous locals and nursery parents, as well as the kind and hardworking Cummings Park Nursery Team, which continues to run, promote and expand the clothing swap initiative; welcomes such initiatives that assist families through tough times, and wishes all those involved all the best going forward.
