During dissolution, there are no MSPs and no parliamentary business can take place.

75th Anniversary of Independence of Pakistan Day

That the Parliament congratulates the Republic of Pakistan on celebrating the 75th anniversary of its independence on 14 August 2021; recognises what it sees as the success that Pakistan has made of its independence since 1947; celebrates the deep ties between Scotland and Pakistan; acknowledges the positive contribution that the Pakistani diaspora has made to the social, economic and cultural life of Scotland; sends its best wishes for a successful and enjoyable celebration event hosted by the Consul General at the Pakistan Consulate in Glasgow on the anniversary, and congratulates Pakistanis throughout the world as they mark Youm-e-Azadi, Independence Day 2021.
