Congratulating Northern Corridor Community Volunteers on Securing £13,700 for Environmental Sustainability Projects

That the Parliament congratulates Northern Corridor Community Volunteers on securing £13,700 from the National Lottery Community Fund; understands that the two-year grant will support three environmental sustainability projects in Moodiesburn and Chryston, including a weekly active travel drop-in offering bicycle repair, recycling and refurbishment, community gardening workshops and a pilot off-grid irrigation system, alongside the development of four mini-orchards in community spaces; recognises the contribution that locally-led environmental projects can make to sustainability, active travel and the improvement of shared community spaces, and commends the volunteers for their efforts to encourage environmental awareness and community participation across the Coatbridge and Chryston constituency.
