That the Parliament welcomes the publication of More Than a Number, a peer research report produced by the Poverty Alliance and One Parent Families Scotland, which explores the experiences of families with young children who have lived in temporary accommodation across Lanarkshire; recognises the significant contribution of the peer researchers who drew on their own lived experience to design and carry out the research; commends all those who shared their experiences to inform the study; notes the report's findings on the impact that temporary accommodation can have on families, including their wellbeing, financial security and family life; believes that the voices of people with lived experience of homelessness should play a central role in shaping housing policy and services; recognises the value of peer research in ensuring that lived experience is reflected in public policy discussions; draws attention to the report's recommendations for national and local action to improve outcomes for families experiencing homelessness and living in temporary accommodation, and commends all those involved in bringing these experiences and recommendations to the attention of policymakers and the wider public.
