That the Parliament congratulates Milestone Garden Centre in Newtown St Boswells on its generous donation of a permanent living Christmas tree, valued at £1,500, to the local community; understands that the tree was personally selected and donated by the garden centre's owner, Ross Allan, as the business celebrates its 20th anniversary; recognises that the donation fulfils a longstanding ambition to establish a sustainable Christmas tree in the village, which can grow alongside future generations and become a lasting focal point for community celebrations; acknowledges the considerable efforts of Newtown & Eildon Community Council and the Newtown Community Christmas Lights and Fair committee in organising festive events and raising funds to support local traditions; welcomes the environmental and financial benefits of having a permanent living tree, including reducing the need to purchase a replacement each year and allowing more funds to be directed towards community activities; commends Ross Allan and the team at Milestone Garden Centre for their longstanding support of the village, including its annual Christmas parade and Christmas lights switch-on; congratulates the business on reaching 20 years of successful trading, and wishes everyone involved continued success in strengthening community life in Newtown St Boswells.
