That the Parliament welcomes the news that the renewable engineering firm, Seaway7, has been selected as the preferred supplier of the foundation and array cable scopes for the new Berwick Bank B offshore wind project; understands that Seaway7's UK operations are based out of its regional headquarters in Aberdeen; notes that the project is expected to provide the national grid with 1.4 gigawatts of power; celebrates the estimated 465 jobs created by the supply agreement, including 160 roles directly in Seaway7 led from its Aberdeen office; welcomes the further 200 direct and indirect jobs that are expected through turbine foundation marshalling activities at a Scottish port; congratulates the steps being taken by the renewable sector in securing Aberdeen's position as the energy capital of Europe, and hopes that this supply agreement signals further investment in Aberdeen's vast renewables workforce.
