That the Parliament congratulates the Glasgow Community Link Worker team employed by the ALLIANCE on winning Team of the Year at the Scottish Community Link Worker Network Awards 2026; understands that the team works in GP practices in 80 of the 100 most deprived communities in Scotland; further understands that having a link worker in a GP practice has been described as “life saving” by people supported by the team; recognises the importance of community link workers in responding to unmet need and the social determinants of health, working towards addressing health inequalities and the impact of the inverse care law through person-led care, and celebrates the positive impact that, it believes, the team’s work has had on the 17,588 patients that it worked with in 2025-26.
