Uddingston Residents Association Tackles Social Isolation and Strengthens Community Connections

That the Parliament congratulates Springfield Gardens Residents Association, in Uddingston, on receiving a grant of £8,950 to support a one-year project; understands that the funding will enable the association to continue and develop its social programme for residents of the retirement housing complex and the surrounding community; recognises the important role that community groups play in bringing people together, reducing social isolation and promoting social connections among older people and local residents, and commends the association for its work in supporting community wellbeing and creating opportunities for people to socialise and participate in local activities.
