That the Parliament congratulates the Well Society, the fan-led majority shareholder group of Motherwell Football Club, based at Fir Park Stadium in Motherwell, on raising £2,500 for Beatson Cancer Charity through its participation in the North Lanarkshire Half Marathon at Ravenscraig Regional Sports Facility in August 2026; recognises the Well Society’s status as a registered co-operative and community benefit society and its commitment to supporting the local community; commends all those who took part in the event and contributed to this fundraising achievement; acknowledges the important work of Beatson Cancer Charity in supporting people affected by cancer and their families, and recognises the positive contribution that community-led fundraising makes to supporting cancer services and raising awareness of the challenges faced by people living with cancer across Scotland.
