That the Parliament congratulates Presenting Coldstream Association on receiving £9,827 from the National Lottery Community Fund to support Coldstream Civic Week; recognises what it sees as Presenting Coldstream's important role in organising the annual celebration, which is traditionally the final Borders' civic festival of the year; notes that Coldstream Civic Week takes place during the first full week of August and includes a varied programme of community events; recognises the important contribution of the town's equestrian traditions, including its cavalcades and ride-outs, to the celebrations; considers that civic weeks and common riding traditions play an important role in preserving the history, identity and traditions of communities throughout the Scottish Borders while bringing generations together; commends the considerable contribution made by volunteers and local organisations to ensure that these traditions continue; thanks National Lottery players for supporting Coldstream Civic Week, and wishes Presenting Coldstream Association and the wider Coldstream community every success with future celebrations.
