That the Parliament recognises the dedication of Scotland's football fans following reports that, once again, Scotland has the highest per capita attendances for top flight football in Europe; notes that Scotland exceeded 4.1 million attendances across all matches during the 2025-26 season, with an average crowd of 17,903 at Scottish Premiership fixtures; acknowledges that Scotland had the seventh highest total attendances across Europe despite having only the 24th largest population in Europe; notes that this follows Scotland's participation in the 2026 FIFA World Cup, which, it believes, inspired a new generation of fans through the example set by Scotland's fans; believes that the Tartan Army demonstrated in the summer that Scotland has the best football fans in the world, and hopes that the passion for football is acknowledged and continues to grow across Scotland.
