Celebrating Cranhill Credit Union's 50th Anniversary

That the Parliament congratulates Cranhill Credit Union on its 50th anniversary; understands that it was established in 1976 by John Kerr, Ellen Kerr and Helen Kane MBE to serve the residents of Cranhill and Greater Glasgow; acknowledges the positive impact that credit unions have on the communities that they support, serving as not-for-profit cooperatives that offer accessible savings accounts and low-interest loans to their members; notes the long service of Helen Kane MBE, Betty McGreechin and Susan Blackhurst, who have worked in Cranhill Credit Union for most of its 50-year history; acknowledges their commitment and hard work serving the Cranhill community, and wishes them a well-deserved retirement and all staff and members of Cranhill Credit Union continued success in the future.
