Recognising the Role of Community Repair Organisations

That the Parliament recognises the important role that community repair organisations play in their areas by providing affordable services that extend the life of products and reduce the need to buy new; welcomes that the community repair movement is growing and that there are now 63 groups providing repair services to communities across nearly all parts of Scotland; further welcomes that over 2,000 repair events took place in the last year alone, and that Circular Communities Scotland will host the first-ever repair cafe in the Parliament on 6 October 2026; notes that International Repair Day will take place on 17 October, and thanks all those involved in helping to reduce waste, build stronger communities, share skills and save households money.
