That the Parliament congratulates Louise and Graeme Nicoll and the team at Newton Farm Holidays, near Forfar, on winning the Innovation Award at the 2026 Central and East of Scotland Thistle Awards; understands that four generations of the Nicoll family have farmed at Newton of Fothringham and that Louise and Graeme have continued to develop and diversify the business since taking over its day-to-day running in 2001; recognises its innovative approach to sharing authentic working farm life through accommodation, farm tours, Highland cattle experiences, family activities, education and events; commends Louise, Graeme and staff for their hard work, creativity and contribution to Angus tourism and the wider rural economy; notes that Newton Farm will now progress to the Scottish Thistle Awards National Final in November 2026, and wishes the team every success.
