Whiteinch Centre Celebrates 20 Years at the Heart of the Community

That the Parliament congratulates Whiteinch Centre, which is a vibrant community hub dedicated to improving lives through a variety of services and activities in Glasgow Anniesland, on its 20th anniversary; notes that the centre was purpose-built in 2006 in response to community aspirations and the need for a local hub that fosters inclusion, connection and engagement; further notes that its aim was to enable community involvement through volunteering, support to local health and wellbeing, the provision of diverse activities and services, as well as to improve access to affordable, nutritious food and to promote community engagement to empower residents to feel invested in their area; pays tribute to the hard work and dedication of all those involved in ensuring that the centre has gone from strength to strength over the last 20 years, and wishes them all the best for the next 20 and beyond.
