Remembering Bellshill Athletic Legend Rab Brown

That the Parliament notes with sadness the passing of Rab Brown, a lifelong supporter and dedicated servant of Bellshill Athletic FC; recognises the remarkable contribution that he made to the club over many decades, both on and off the pitch, including as a player, committee member and groundsman; acknowledges the commitment and pride that he showed in caring for Rockburn Park and helping to ensure that it remained a place where players, supporters and the wider community could come together; notes that Rab’s dedication was formally recognised through his induction as an honorary member of Bellshill Athletic in 2023; recognises the lasting contribution that volunteers make to grassroots sport and the communities that they serve, and sends its deepest condolences to Rab’s wife, Isobel, his son, James, his wider family and all those at Bellshill Athletic who knew and valued Rab.
