Cuban Women Demand an End to the Blockade

That the Parliament condemns the ongoing blockade inflicted on Cuba by the United States; recognises what it sees as the disproportionate affect this has on women in particular, who are often at the forefront of finding supplies and sustenance for their families; understands that the blockade, which was escalated by the Trump administration in 2026 to include massive tariffs on any country providing fuel to the beleaguered island, has led to prolonged blackouts and left many hospitals unable to carry out their vital work; decries the reported lack of international aid and expresses its solidarity with the Cuban people in the face of what it considers to be a clear economic assault, and calls on the Scottish and UK governments to do everything that they can to end what it believes to be an injustice.
